Therapy
Guidelines

1. Contact Information

You can reach me for questions or appointments at +47 48093786 or martin@naturligpsykologi.no. I encourage open communication to support your therapeutic process. Please note that calls between regular therapy sessions are unfortunately not possible. If additional phone calls are needed, the regular hourly rate applies and must be agreed upon in advance.

2. Therapeutic Environment

I offer a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where you can express yourself openly and without fear of judgment. I value your perspective and collaborate with you to achieve greater insight and personal development. I acknowledge and respect diversity in all its forms, including gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and cultural background. Everyone is welcome, and I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where all individuals feel seen and heard.

To ensure that services always maintain a high standard, I am a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance, the Association for Spiritual Integrity, and The Work That Reconnects Network. These networks reinforce my commitment to ethics, professionalism, and sustainable practices.

I receive regular supervision from professional psychologists to ensure that I am in the best possible condition to support others and responsibly meet your needs. Additionally, I am actively engaged in developing my skills through courses and further education. This commitment to continuous learning allows me to provide you with the best and most up-to-date support.

3. Therapy Locations

Therapy sessions can take place at the following locations:

  • Nesodden

  • Oslo, Frogner

  • Outdoors in nature or the forest, when desired and appropriate.

The location is agreed upon when booking.

4. Confidentiality and Record-Keeping

I am committed to full confidentiality for all information shared in therapy. Consent is always obtained before sharing information with a third party. Any personal relationships between the client and therapist will be clarified before therapy begins. If such a relationship exists and limits therapy, the client will be referred to another therapist.

I follow the Health Personnel Act §§ 21-25 regarding confidentiality. If the therapy falls under the Health Personnel Act, I will keep records in accordance with § 39. If I do not keep records, you will be informed of this at the start of therapy.

5. Privacy and GDPR

According to the Personal Data Act (GDPR), you have the right to access how your personal information is processed. I only store necessary information and protect it with strict security measures.

  • Data is stored securely and is only accessible to me.

  • Personal information is deleted within 6 months after therapy ends, unless otherwise agreed.

  • You can request access or deletion of your data by contacting me in writing.

6. Duration and Frequency

Sessions typically last 60 minutes. I recommend regular appointments for the best results, but the frequency will be tailored to your needs. Therapy is flexible and can be booked from session to session.

7. Payment and Cancellation

  • Price: 1490 NOK per 60 minutes (individual treatment).

  • An invoice will be sent after each session with a 7-day payment deadline.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 2 weekdays in advance to avoid full charge.

  • In case of non-payment, outstanding amounts may be sent for collection.

Right of Withdrawal: For online therapy, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal according to the Consumer Rights Act. If you wish therapy to begin before the right of withdrawal expires, you must consent to waive this right.

8. Your Rights and Responsibilities

You are entitled to professional, respectful, and safe treatment. Should I find that I cannot work effectively with you, I will refer you to another therapist. You can also end therapy at any time.

The therapy process may involve emotional challenges. I cannot guarantee specific results and disclaim responsibility for decisions you make based on the therapy.

9. Substance Use, Suicidal Thoughts, and Serious Mental Health Challenges

  • Please inform me about any substance use or addiction to best tailor the therapy. If there are serious substance use challenges, these must be treated by another institution before starting therapy with me.

  • If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or serious mental health challenges, please contact professional emergency support:

    • Mental Health Helpline: 116 123

    • Church SOS: 22 40 00 40

    • Emergency: 116 117

    • Emergency Assistance: 113

10. Technology and Security

Online therapy is provided via Zoom or similar platforms. I implement strict security measures to protect your information.

11. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

  • In case of disagreements, we will first attempt to resolve the matter through dialogue.

These guidelines ensure a safe and effective therapeutic process. For further information, please contact me.
